FLORENTIA is the ancient name of the city of Florence.

Florentia is also the name of our organization, offering private walking tours, museum visits and excursions in Florence & Tuscany.

In our company, you will experience our culture as only possible with a local guide. You will visit inspiring spaces, learn interesting facts, and be transported by our stories. Above all, you will understand how Florence became the capital of the Renaissance and a cornerstone of Western civilization.

Our tours are highly personalized: whether you spend just a morning or several days with us; whether you are traveling alone, as a couple, or with a group of family or friends; we will take time to learn about you before your trip and we will create a custom itinerary that best suits your interests and expectations.

We have a sense of place, and pride in our city. We believe the beauty that was created here is truly special. We want you to understand how this happened.

In a city where even corners have names, stories abound. We tell you a story of towers and palaces, churches and squares; of artists and rulers, builders and destroyers; of men and women, rich and poor. We tell you the story of a people and their city.

We present you with details to which you can relate. Some colorful anecdotes are too fun not to be shared; but we revel in facts and, respecting your intelligence, we point out what’s fact and what isn’t. And if you travel with children, we make sure the stories we tell capture them too, because their imagination is the ultimate beauty.
