MUSEUM TOUR:
Bargello National Museum
The largest collection of Renaissance sculpture in Italy, the Bargello Museum (housed within a Medieval fortress which used to be Florence’s first government building) includes masterpieces such as Donatello’s David, Michelangelo’s Bacchus and Giambologna’s Mercury, together with many other magnificent sculptures encompassing four hundred years of Florentine sculpture.
Our tour covers both the importance of the building as a superb example of Medieval architecture, and the highlights of the sculpture collection.
